A new addition to the ARTIN Group portfolio is the new Brno-based AI spin-off aReception.ai, which started its operations on January 1, 2024. Its unique product consists of digital avatars utilizing a full range of artificial intelligence tools. Thanks to this, the avatars are able to communicate with users directly in human language in multiple languages and, together with complementary touch controls, enable the automation of a series of processes at company and office building receptions and other places where it is important to provide accurate and prompt information or assist visitors with entry or orientation.
"Our digital avatars can now be encountered not only at office and industrial company receptions, where they can attend to visitors, call the visited person, summon an elevator, or open doors, but also in schools or at the Children's Hospital in Brno, where they guide visitors through the entire campus using voice and interactive maps," says Mirek Pachl, who is in charge of business development for the new company.
"Our solution uses a whole range of AI technologies, whether it's voice handling and conversion to text and back again with STT and TTS, visitor intent recognition using NLP technology, or involving large language models like Chat GPT. Because of this, the avatar can naturally respond to the requests of users or visitors. And since our entire solution can be easily integrated with customer and building systems, it’s not just about talking; the receptionist can perform necessary actions, such as making calls, opening doors, summoning elevators, or anything else for which an API exists," adds Tomáš Ondráček, CEO of aReception.ai.
The idea to create a digital avatar for communication in natural language originated sometime ago at ARTIN in response to moving to a new building where our colleagues didn't want to sit at the reception on the ground floor as they would be cut off from the rest. The solution we subsequently developed impressed us so much that we turned it into a general product that we now offer to other companies and organizations. "We are pleased that our family of AI spin-offs is nicely growing, and we believe that other ideas utilizing artificial intelligence, leading to further interesting projects, will follow," adds Jan Najvárek, co-founder of ARTIN Group.
